Although SnipOS is built largely of MFL and SNIPPETS source files, it is a
copyrighted compilation, Copyright 1995-2008 by Robert B. Stout dba MicroFirm.
The user is granted a free license to use SnipOS for personal or educational
purposes. Use of SnipOS in a commercial application is prohibited without a
paid license.

MicroFirm licenses the C version of SnipOS for $499 per product. SnipOS
licenses apply to a specific product and may be used by any number of
developers working on the product. All SnipOS licensees will receive complete
source code for SnipOS. SnipOS licenses are permanent although customers will
be required to pay $99 for major version updates. A planned EC++/ETC++ version
of SnipOS will be licensed for $599 per product.

MicroFirm clients who contract with MicroFirm for programming and system
design services are granted a complimentary license for any product in which
MicroFirm uses SnipOS. Note that this license is also product specific. If you
hire MicroFirm to develop one specific product, you will still have to license
additional copies of SnipOS for use on other products.
